a simple idea
a grand design
a crazy thought
can help to raise awareness of the Indefinite Life
The ashes of Clyde Tombaugh travel on a cold trip. After passing Pluto they will continue farther into the Kuiper Belt… to the end of the Galaxy.
My thoughts travel with him on board New Horizons. The discoverer of Pluto is not dead in my heart and neither is Titian who left the world in 1576 after contact with the Bubonic Plague in Venice at the age of 97 years old.
What is Age today?
It is nothing.
It is only a mental frontier.
In the Future it will be a frivolity.
The stupidity of an Age Limit in order to prevent someone from doing something, is totally unfair and unnatural. And I dare to declare that something hidden is underlying. An Age Limit sends people to sleep like a mantra. An Age Limit numbs the spirit of adventure of the human being. It makes him unable to think, feel or react… and what is more it prohibits him. It alienates the human being from an operational life. It is unfair!
Our government leaders behave without thinking about the grand possibilities of the human being. So one is ready for a death sentence when read a stupid Age Limit.
Henri Matisse was rejected for service in WWI in 1914 because of his age, and he suffered from bowel cancer in 1941. He told the doctor before being operated on: “Please, operate on me properly so I can live for years more and I will be able to produce more Art for the World”. The master of “Drawing with Scissors” lived 14 years more. His extraordinary creativity could not be dampened. “Une seconde vie” (a second life), the last years of his life came with unexpected energy.
Poetry kept him young at heart, like a sensual elixir of youth. A second life, he said. “Only what I created after the illness constitutes my real self: free, liberated”.
All human beings are entitled to a radical renewal.
All human beings deserve the choice to improve themselves.
And this radical renewal is a Human Right.
Age Limits are stupid!
