Something is rotten in the state of Turkey..
What exactly is fueling the anger and current protests in Turkey? We hear people are angry about the government’s plan to demolish an Istanbul park in order to erect a shopping centre, but.. nah.., surely there’s more to it than that, right?
Is it possible that Turks are rising against PM Erdogan’s step by step re-Islamization of Turkey? – If so, that is really good news..

[ In 2007, Erdogan stated that: “The term “moderate Islam” is ugly and offensive — Islam is Islam”. (Source: Milliyet, Turkey, August 21, 2007). ]
One “Islamic” step that I heard about is a bill that would prohibit the sale of alcohol from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and forbid the depiction of alcohol consumption on television, billboards, newspapers, storefronts and at festivals. Also, liquor sales within 100 yards of a school or mosque would be banned.
Erdogan says the bill is intended to protect public health and not an attempt to legislate morals or force Islamic strictures..
Yeah, right.., but he also says he wants to build a “devout” generation in Turkey…
Anyway, – here’s a greeting to Erdogan and cronies from devout and healthy young Turkish / Danish freedom-lovers in town-hall square, Copenhagen:
( If you have any doubts: That is premium Danish beer they are drinking ! )
Mind you, – I am actually very critical of excessive alcohol consumption, and I believe Denmark holds the European record in youth alcohol consumption, not really something to be proud of, but that is another story, and the issue here is.. get your hands off our freedom !
