We Offer Two Certificates in Life Extension

Posted: Tue, April 02, 2013 | By: Events

Two Certificates in Life Extension are available via ImmortalLife.info

Our Certificate in Life Extension Activism is sponsored and certified by Maximum Life Foundation.

Our Certificate in Radical Life Extension is sponsored by Marios Kyriaizis and the British Longevity Society

The cost of the first program - Life Extension Activism - is $125. The program is online and time-flexible - you can complete it at your convenience.

All enrollees will be guided through the program by David Kekich and Hank Pellissier

David A. Kekich is a recognized authority on longevity science. In 1999, he founded “Maximum Life Foundation”, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to reversing human aging and aging related diseases.

He realized the inevitability that science will someday control the human aging process. He understood human beings will someday be able to enjoy very long health spans by studying aging, the root cause of most deadly diseases. The problem?  He was in a race against the clock. He was faced with the possibility of being part of the “last generation” to suffer and die from aging related diseases. His solution was to further aging research and move it forward by establishing Maximum Life Foundation.

Since then, the Foundation, in concert with many of the world’s leading researchers, has developed a scientific roadmap - “Manhattan Beach Project” - to transform the elderly to biological youth.

He authored Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100?: New skin. New hair. New you 7 simple steps to thrive at 100 and beyond“,” a how-to book for extreme life extension.

Mr. Kekich raises funds for life-extending research. He serves as a Board Member of the American Aging Association, Life Extension Buyers’ Club and Alcor Life Extension Foundation Patient Care Trust Fund.

He starred in life extension documentaries and spoke to thousands of people on the topic. He was featured on television and radio shows, webinars and newspaper and magazine articles and publishes a widely read newsletter, Longevity News Digest.

Hank Pellissier is the founder of Immortallife.info. Previously, he was founder/director of Transhumanity.net and Managing Director of Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technology (IEET.org). He’s written two books on futurist topics (here and here), he’s a blogger for the World Future Society, he conducted the Terasem Survey, and he’s written 100+ essays on futurist/transhumanist/immortalist topics.

He previously organized the very successful Certificate of Transhumanism at Transhumanity.net. Letters of recommendation by happy ex-students are available to read here and here.

Below is an outline of the course work

Assignment 1 - Background Studies

Read David Kekich’s book, Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100? An updated e-book version will be sent to you immediately after you enroll in the course. Upon completion, write a 700 word summary.

Read 20 essays in the Longevity News Digest of the Maximum Life Foundation. Write short summaries of each essay.

Assignment 2 - Publication

Four carefully-researched reports are required. The essays need to be 1,000-1,800 words in length, with footnotes or hyperlinks, and references. When the essays are completed, they’re published by either Maximum Life Foundation or  ImmortalLife.info, or at another site with similar interests, like IEET.org, or Transhumanity.net.

Assignment 3 - Visual Propaganda

The certificate candidate needs to create either a 2-3 minute video on a immortalist topic, or 3 jpeg “memes.” Technical instruction will be provided. Final products will be displayed on Immortallife.info’s website.

Assignment 4 - Summary

ImmortalLife.info also offers a rigorous and rewarding online Certificate in Radical Life Extension.

The cost of the Certificate in Radical Life Extension is $145. Students will be guided through the Certificate program by Marios Kyriazis and Hank Pellissier. Their complete bios are HERE and HERE.

Marios Kyriazis - medical doctor, gerontologist, author, longtime proponent of indefinite life extension, and founder of the British Longevity Society - provides his advice and skills to our program. Kyriazis helped launch the concept of human biological immortality worldwide, and was an early advocate of the movement to abolish involuntary death by ageing.

He’s written numerous books, including The Age Defying Cookbook, The Look Young Bible, Anti-Aging Medicines, Carnosine and other Elixirs of Youth, The Cataract Cure, and Stay Young, Longer—Naturally: The Natural Anti-Aging Plan.

Kyriazis suggests that leading a stressful, irregular and constantly stimulating lifestyle may be a way of reducing the impact of age-related dysfunction. He explains how aging is accompanied by a loss of physiological complexity, therefore it is necessary to increase external stimulation to restore the loss.
